Denture options

• Implant-supported dentures — a denture that snaps onto two or more dental implants. Far more stable than a conventional denture, with no adhesive and no rocking while eating.
• Immediate dentures — placed the same day teeth are removed so you are not without teeth during healing, then relined once the gums settle.
• Relines and repairs — gums change shape over the years, and an existing denture can often be refitted rather than replaced.

Living with a new denture

There is an adjustment period, and it is worth being honest about it. Speech takes a week or two to normalize. Eating starts with soft food and builds up. Minor sore spots are expected in the first weeks and are resolved with small adjustments — which is exactly why the follow-up appointments are part of the treatment rather than an afterthought.
